Which data do we process?
Visiting the website: our hosting provider Vercel processes technical data, such as your IP address, the time, the requested page and your browser type, in server logs. This is needed to serve and secure the website. This data is processed within the EU (Frankfurt, Germany) and kept for a limited period, no longer than needed to detect abuse and outages.
Contact form: if you fill in the form on the contact page, we process your name, email address, the subject you chose and the content of your message, in order to reply. The form uses technical measures to stop spam; this does not build a profile of you.
Contact by email: if you email us directly, we process your email address, your name if you give it and the content of your message, in order to reply.
This website has no login and no accounts. Other than the contact form, we do not ask for any data through the website.
Why, and on what legal basis?
We use this data to answer questions and to keep the website secure and available. The basis is our legitimate interest and, for a question about our services, also preparing an agreement.
How long do we keep data?
We keep form submissions and emails no longer than needed for the purpose for which we received them: by default no more than 12 months after the last contact, or longer if needed for an ongoing assignment or a legal obligation (for example the statutory retention period for invoices).
Who do we share data with?
Only with parties we need to run the website and our email: hosting provider Vercel, Resend (sends the contact form) and our email provider Proton. They process data on our behalf. We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising. Resend processes data in the United States; the transfer is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and Resend participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Their data processing agreement (DPA) is automatically part of their terms.
The contact page shows a map from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom). When you open the page, the map loads from the servers of OpenStreetMap, and OpenStreetMap receives your IP address. OpenStreetMap does not set cookies for this.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your data, and to restrict the processing or object to it. You can also ask for your data to be transferred. Send an email for this; we reply within the legal time limit.
Do you disagree with how we handle your data? Then you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
